Our horsemanship program is an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of horsemanship: groundwork, sensory training, bathing, grooming, horse health and riding basics. This is a beginner course, no prior equine experience necessary.

Program details

  • 10 total sessions

  • All sessions are from 8 AM – 10 AM

  • Deposit (non-refundable) due at sign-up: $50

  • Tuition due at first session: $450

  • For ages 14 and up.

  • Six participants per class

  • Proceeds benefit the Rise Canyon Ranch scholarship program

 

WHAT TO WEAR / BRING

  • Closed toe shoes with a sturdy sole (required).

  • Comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty or wet.

  • Layered clothing that accommodates a range of temperatures.

  • Sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses and water.
